Questions are welcome here.
Whether you’re exploring support for yourself, your child, your teen, or your family, we’re here to make the process feel clear, affirming, and a little less overwhelming.
Getting started
How do I know which service is the right fit? +
You don’t have to figure that out alone. Start with a free consultation and we’ll help you think through what kind of support makes the most sense based on your needs, goals, age, preferences, and current challenges.
Who does NeuroMind support? +
We support neurodivergent and neurotypical people of all ages and abilities, including kids, teens, adults, parents, families, students, and young adults navigating life transitions. We also offer couples therapy with licensed therapists.
Do I need a diagnosis to work with NeuroMind? +
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to reach out. Many people come to us because they are exploring ADHD, autism, executive functioning challenges, anxiety, burnout, social difficulties, learning differences, or simply want support that feels more aligned with how their brain works.
What happens after I contact you? +
After you reach out, we’ll connect with you to learn more about what you’re looking for. From there, we’ll recommend a starting point, answer your questions, and help match you with the provider, service, or group that may be the best fit.
Services and support
What services do you offer? +
NeuroMind offers a myriad of support services. It can feel overwhelming to see the long list of what we offer, but our intention is to include the gamut of support so that you can experience that "ah-ha" moment when you see exactly what it is you were looking for. We offer executive functioning support, counseling, social skills and connection support, peer groups and community, parent coaching, career development, cognitive rehabilitation, independent living skills, articulation and fluency therapy, and educational consulting.
Are sessions individualized? +
Yes. Support is personalized based on the individual’s goals, strengths, needs, communication style, sensory preferences, and real-life environment. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all support. Many of our clients meet with us for one hour once per week, and others find it useful to get creative with the session length and frequency. This might look like a monthly check-in, or frequent, shorter check-in sessions throughout the week.
Do you offer support for adults? +
Yes. We support adults with executive functioning, burnout, emotional regulation, relationships, career development, independent living skills, identity, self-advocacy, and navigating life in a way that feels sustainable. We also offer parent coaching and couples therapy.
Do you work with parents and families? +
Yes. Parent coaching can help families better understand neurodivergence, respond to challenges with more clarity, support emotional regulation, reduce conflict, and build practical systems that work at home.
Do you offer groups? +
Yes. NeuroMind offers peer groups designed to build connection, confidence, and community. You can view current groups on our groups page.
Approach and philosophy
What does neurodivergent-affirming mean? +
Neurodivergent-affirming support means we are not here to “fix” who you are. We focus on understanding your brain, honoring your lived experience, building practical tools, reducing shame, and helping you live more authentically.
Is this therapy? Coaching? Skills support? +
It depends on the service and provider. Some supports are clinical, some are skills-based, and some are focused on coaching, connection, or education. During the consultation process, we’ll help clarify what type of support best matches what you need.
Will you work with my school, therapist, doctor, or other provider? +
When appropriate and with proper consent, we can collaborate with other providers, schools, or members of your support team. We believe care works best when communication is thoughtful and aligned.
Logistics
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions? Where are you located? +
Availability for in-person services is limited and depends on the service, provider, and client needs. We are licensed all over the US and can provide services virtually wherever we are, including CT, NY, FL, MA, NJ, OR, DC, and MN. We currently offer limited in-person services in Fairfield County, CT, Southern Florida, and NYC. Reach out for a free consultation, and we’ll help you understand what options are currently available.
Do you do in-person events? +
Yes. NeuroMind hosts and participates in in-person events including workshops, talks, community gatherings, and collaborations with local organizations. These events are designed to be engaging, accessible, and supportive for neurodivergent individuals and families. To see past and upcoming events, check out our news page.
If you're interested in attending or collaborating on an event, feel free to reach out here.
Do you accept insurance? +
NeuroMind is not in-network with insurance. Many clients submit superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and we can provide documentation to help with that process. A superbill is a standardized document that all out-of-network providers use, and it serves as a medical receipt for services you have paid for. Your insurance will then reimburse you for a specific portion, if not all, of the out-of-network services, based on your plan and whether you have met your deductible. We are happy to help you look into your coverage to better understand your options.
What is a superbill? +
A superbill is a detailed receipt for services that includes all the information your insurance company needs to process out-of-network reimbursement. After you pay for services, we provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider. Depending on your plan, you may be reimbursed for a portion of the cost.
How much does it cost? +
Pricing depends on the service, provider, and format of support. Our prices typically range from $175/hour to $300/hour, and we will cover all of this information with you based on our specific recommendations during your initial, free consultation. You can also visit our pricing page or contact us directly and we’ll help you understand the best starting point.
How do I get started? +
The easiest first step is to contact us for a free consultation. There’s no pressure, just a conversation to help you understand your options and find support that fits.
